Bringing together joyous, pop influenced art practices, REFERENCE POINTS lays bare the importance of historical references in contemporary practices. Held to coincide with the Critical Animals Research Symposium as part of This Is Not Art Festival, this year’s Official Exhibition takes it’s cues from the Symposium’s 2016 theme, Madness of Many.

REFERENCE POINTS looks to solo practices to expose the ways in which contemporary art practices utilize time and historical symbolism to produce contemporary work. This exhibition features the work of artists Minna Gilligan, Daisy Knight and Kate Mitchell and is curated by Justine Holt.
