When machines learn from us, create with us, and sometimes replace us, how do artists redefine collaboration?
Free event, limited capacity, bookings and early arrival encouraged
When machines learn from us, create with us, and sometimes replace us, how do artists redefine collaboration, and what kind of cultural futures do we actually want to build?
Collaborative Futures convenes artists, architects and creative sector thinkers to critically examine how this era of generative AI and networked technologies is reshaping creative labour, collective practice and cultural power.
Bringing together artists and creative practitioners, Dr Alysha Fewster, Dr Sarah Breen Lovett, Adam Manning, April Phillips, Shellie Smith, and Assoc. Prof. Mary Zournazi, the panel foregrounds practice-led research across artmaking, storytelling and interdisciplinary creative practice.
Supported by University Galleries as a partner, the conversation draws on the lived realities of making, researching and working collectively within digital systems, asking who we collaborate with and how communal and haptic approaches to making might offer alternative futures.
