Don’t miss this rare and electrifying performance by Young Boy Dancing Group, a shapeshifting international collective known for their raw, intimate, and provocatively beautiful work.

For one night only in Muloobinba/Newcastle, YBDG will transform The Lock-Up with a live performance that teeters between ecstasy and collapse, ritual and release. “A versatile host embracing an ever-changing network of dancers,” YBDG engages in choreography that conjures the trembling space between life and death.

Initiated in 2014, Young Boy Dancing Group has become a global force in experimental performance, with appearances at Athens Biennale, Mendes Wood DM São Paulo, Schinkel Pavilion Berlin, and Club Silencio Paris.

Expect a visceral encounter with the body as material, as metaphor, and as myth. Described by Spike Magazine as maturing “into immersive studies in physical intensity, sensuality, and extreme absurdity,” this is a collective ritual not to be missed.
