Join us for an afternoon of discussions, poetry reading and performance at The Lock-Up. Poet Carol Jenkins will open this special event with a poetry reading which will be followed by an ‘In Conversation’ between artist Emma Fielden and writer Julie Ewington speaking to themes within Fielden’s solo exhibition AN IMMEASURABLE DISTANCE.
This event will also see the restaging of Fielden’s pivotal performance work We are two molecules floating together in space and our distance is infinite… then the sound of birds, 2018, by two Newcastle based performers. This work was originally developed and performed by Fielden with guest performer Hanae Utamura at Art Omi Artists Residency, New York, USA
