CURATOR IN RESIDENCE / Elloise Ansell
15th December – 19th July, 2026
Elloise Ansell is The Lock-Up’s COLLECT: Focus Early Career Curator for 2026. Elloise will spend the next couple of months collaborating with two local early career artists to showcase separate bodies of work for COLLECT: Focus.
ABOUT ELLOISE ANSELL
Elloise is an emerging artist and curator working on Awabakal and Worimi country. Working closely with The Lock-Up, she is undertaking her first professional curatorial project to produce COLLECT: Focus 2026.
Elloise has been at The Lock-Up since 2024, where she has served as a volunteer and gallery assistant. During her time at the gallery, she has been involved with a variety of programs/events such as the gallery’s Youth Advisory Panel, assisting the install team and working gallery openings, such as the opening night of COLLECT 2025.
As an emerging artist, Elloise’s practice is one of curious exploration across mediums, aiming to showcase the emotional sensitivity we each hold that cannot be described through words or physical forms alone. Her work influences her curatorial interests towards experimental practices which she will showcase through COLLECT: Focus this year.
