The Lock-Up are and The Critical Animals Creative Research Symposium are looking for a Project Curator for 2017.
The Lock-Up are and The Critical Animals Creative Research Symposium are looking for a Project Curator for 2017 to develop an exhibition that will be presented as part of the This is Not Art (TiNA) festival.
The successful applicant will work alongside the ongoing Co-Directors of Critical Animals and The Lock-Up staff in the facilitation of the Critical Animals Official Exhibition. This exhibition takes place at The Lock-Up from 29 September – 22 October 2017, with the curator taking part in The Lock-Up’s Artist in Residence Program from 7 – 17 July to further develop curatorial and site-specific ideas of the exhibition.
The Critical Animals Official Exhibition held at The Lock-Up presents a significant opportunity to an emerging curator to present a critically rigorous exhibition of contemporary art, working with The Lock-Up and Critical Animals teams.
The curator will work alongside the Critical Animals co- directors and The Lock-Up to curate an exhibition which links to the 2017 theme: Criticism In Action.

Who We’re Looking ForWe’re looking for someone passionate about the intersection of arts and research, about the development of creative research and multidisciplinary artforms. The curator should be open to contemporary and experimental artforms and aim to stimulate and challenge audiences.
