The Lock-Up warmly welcomes Adam Hulbert to the Artist in Residence 2026 program, supporting the development of a new commissioned work with Izabela Pluta for a major exhibition for local and international presentation.
ABOUT ADAM HULBERT
Dr. Adam Hulbert is a researcher, musician and sound designer based at the University of New South Wales, on Bidjigal and Gadigal Country. The work he’s developing at the residency is part of a collaboration with artist Izabela Pluta, which explores submerged sensing and reimagining experiences of place. This installation work will be developed at the Lock-Up and The Canoe Pool using field recording, modular synthesis and spatial diffusion.
