Justine Holt is the curator of the official Critical Animals exhibition which takes place at The Lock-Up during the annual This is Not Art (TiNA) festival in October.
Justine Holt is a Co-Director of Critical Animals, a creative research symposium held annually as a part of This Is Not Art (TiNA) festival in Newcastle. She is a curator and writer who works across both visual and performance art. She has a passion for exhibition making and writing – contextualising and translating contemporary arts practices into accessible exhibitions and experiences for both arts audiences and the broader community.
Recent highlights of Justine’s career include curator of exhibition Hot House and Penrith Regional Gallery and associate producer of the art fair Spring 1883’s performance program in 2016.
This residency will provide Justine with the opportunity to research and further develop the curatorial direction for the official Critical Animals exhibition which will run at The Lock-Up from 1 – 30 October 2016.
Justine lives and works in Melbourne.
