ADELINA LARSSON
Adelina will utilise her time within as Artist in Residence to develop work for the contemporary dance production, PROPELLED #2.
Adelina is a choreographer, curator and educator working in interdisciplinary processes making contemporary performance work, dance on screen and sound/movement installations.
Since moving to Australia in 2007 she has choreographed and performed for performing arts companies presenting at the Sydney Opera House, Melbourne International Arts Festival, Federation Square, The State Theatre Centre of WA, Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts (PICA), Australian Institute of Sport, The Canberra Theatre Centre and Fremantle Arts Centre and Canberra Contemporary Art Space and Gorman Arts Centre (ACT). She has worked with artists such as David Pledger Not Yet It’s Difficult Company (2013, 2016), Robyn Archer when acting Creative Director of the Centenary Celebration of Canberra (2013) producing Biami the Creation Story and award-winning playwright Scott Rankin.
Recently appointed as an Associate Artist with BighART – Arts and Social Change company, she develops programs and creates new works with community in rural and regional areas such as the Pilbara and North West Coast of Tasmania.
Her teachings brought her to Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) where she lectures contemporary dance techniques.
Adelina is the Founder and Director of Strange Attractor – a national choreographic and interdisciplinary lab for professional artists. This year Adelina was appointed Associate Artist at Critical Path Centre for Choreography.
